Scholarship Information

The Basics

The Michael Wyschogrod Scholarship Fund commemorates the life of Dr. Michael Wyschogrod by financially aiding undergraduate (juniors or seniors) and graduate students wishing to enter into the field of Jewish-Christian relations. The scholarship award will range from $1000-1500 per student and will be directly paid to the  institution.


Applicants must be:

  • Undergraduate junior, senior or graduate student enrolled full-time (at least 12 hours) at an accredited undergraduate/graduate institution in the United States
  • Pursuing an Ordination, Bachelor’s (Junior or Senior), Master’s degree in Bible, Theology or Religion
  • A United States citizen or noncitizen who has a current lawful presence in the United States and a work permit

Academic Achievement

Applicants should:

  • Have a GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale
  • Demonstrate a commitment to Jewish-Christians relations

Application Requirements

Required Documents (one or more):

  • Two letters of reference
  • Personal photo
  • 750-1000 word essay on why you wish to pursue Jewish-Christian relations
  • Proof of enrollment and college transcript(s)
  • Payment of $25 application fee
  • Video interview

Application Deadline & Fee

  • Application and its required documents are due by 12 noon (EST), Nov 1, 2017
  • There is a $25 application fee
  • Qualified applicants will be notified of their award by 12 noon (EST), Feb 1, 2018
